Sneaker news remains up to date when it comes to the ongoing Jordan Remastered series. Celebrating 30 years of the line, Nike announces the rebirth of the Air Jordan 5 Retro “Midnight Navy.”
Air Jordan 5 Retro “Midnight Navy”
Color:Midnight Navy/Turquoise Blue-White
Release Date: May 2nd, 2015
At first glance, the Midnight Navy looks like a shout out for the Hornets, thanks to the intriguing color scheme. The Midnight Navy covers the whole base with accents of Turquoise Blue which sets off the midnight color perfectly. You will find the Turquoise Blue outlining the grey tongue and slashing a zigzag shark teeth pattern midsole. The ubiquitous Jump Man logo also stands out in Turquoise and according to reports, there will be 3M reflective tongues to further make this baby stand out. To cap the whole thing, the outsole comes with a translucent blue-violet color that neatly outlines the shoe. The Jump Man logo found at the back of the shoe is surprisingly done in white instead of the Turquoise Blue you would expect. Still, this is not a problem and does not really detract from the overall charm of the Air Jordan 5.
The laces retain the Midnight Navy color – possibly to make the tongue and Jump Man stand out during use. The bottom part of the shoe also sports the Jump Man logo so if you happen to step on snow and mud, you will be sure to leave a print. Needless to say, the leather workmanship of this Nike Air Jordan 5 is as good as what you can expect from the maker of quality sports shoes.
So far, there are no reports yet on whether the Air Jordan 5 Retro “Midnight Navy” will be available on GS. But here at Sneaker News, fingers are crossed everywhere. Needless to say, the market is ready for the Midnight Navy, especially with all the enthusiastic comments about the design. Together with the promise of quality, the shoes are just the right color to be taken to the streets, parties, and games – all the while in absolute comfort.
