Air Jordan XX9 “Easter”
Color:Retro/Black-Light Green Spark-White
Release Date: March 21, 2015
The Jordan release date for the XX9 Easter is set just a few days before the actual Holiday. Sneaker News reveals that it will be on the shelves late this March with the promise of an interesting design, not unlike all the other Air Jordans available for the Remastered Series.
As part of the 30th year anniversary of the Jordan Air shoes, Nike presents the “Easter” – made from durable materials, as expected from the Nike brand. What really sets it off through is the sound wave design with a series of yellow green lines vertically circling the shoes in a predictable pattern. The majority of the shoe’s body is in teal green and to complete the look, the laces are made in pure black which perfectly works with most of the pastel color choices. The base is sky blue while the outsole detailing is on the blue-violet translucent side.
What really sets off this shoe is the very obvious Jump Man logo near the heels. It is bigger than the typical embroidered logo of the Air Jordan shoes so it would be hard to miss. The black tongue is emblazoned with the number “23” and all Jordan fans know exactly what that stands for.
The bottom of the shoe also comes with a green print of the Jump Man logo. This means that with every step, you will be leaving a signature of the shoe – leaving no doubt that you are wearing something MJ would wear in the court.

Sneaker News reveals that the XX9 Easter will be sold for $229 – a little more expensive that the previous installations of Air Jordan Remastered Series. Considering how this is the first design like this, the price tag makes more sense.
What is interesting to note about this model is that its release is also a little closer to St. Patrick’s Day despite the “Easter” vibe. Known for designing shoes based on Holidays, perhaps Nike is trying to hit two birds with one stone. Light yet durable, this particular model should be available in most Jordan Brand stores by the start of April.
There is no news whether the Air Jordan XX9 Easter would be available in GS yet, but a lot of people seem to have their fingers crossed. A wonderful addition to the Remastered Series, Sneaker News reveals that there are already several pairs produced today, one of which was worn by Russell Westbrook during the All Stars party in NYC.
