Mention the name Michael Jordan and almost anyone will be able to associate it with the legendary NBA player. That is why when it comes to sneakers and sports footwear, nothing is as iconic as the Jordan brand. It is a top-class shoe brand commanding a huge following and offers truly high-class shoes and kicks. The newest entry in the amazing shoe line is the Jordan Westbrook 0, the first Jordan signature of NBA superstar Russell Westbrook of the Oklahoma Thunder.
The new pair of shoes was announced during New York Fashion Week and sports a premium layered upper with a lacing system. It has D-ring eyelets and lace eyelets reminiscent of the Air Jordan 11. It has lace locks with the words “WHY” and “NOT?” on each shoes and has a completely vulcanized sole.
As looks go, it is definitely going for an off-court style as Westbrook is known for this kind of style. It won’t be an on-court signature since it is made to look fashionable off-court. However, that doesn’t mean that the Jordan Westbrook 0 is a slouch on-court. It is actually a beast on court which is fitting since Westbrook has been Jordan’s Proxy for the past couple of years in wearing the current year signature Air Jordan.
According to sources, the shoe will be released in October with several upcoming colors. The shoe will come with an expected price tag of $175 according to some leaked catalogues of the shoe. The shoe comes in at Black, Brown, Navy, and Grey colors.
Russell Westbrook has a fondness for fashion and, before the reveal, was heavily speculated to be debuting his very own signature Jordan sneaker. The rumor mill started going frantic when he showed up to New York Fashion Week wearing an unidentified Jordan shoe which looks to be an off-court model.
