After almost a decade of seeing the debut of Air Jordan 11s in low-top versions in 1996, Jordan Brand seems to be making a parade of their retro versions once more in celebration with their 30th year. From sneakereasy.com, we have seen a procession of several Air Jordan XI IE Lows and right now, the newest additions to their collection is the “hot looking” Air Jordan 11 Retro Low IE “Black/True Red”.
Air Jordan 11 Retro Low IE
Release Date:September 26, 2015
Since its release, there have only been six holiday retro release of Air Jordan 11s. The earlier low top releases made use of snake skin print detailing, patent leather, as well as the traditional semi-translucent outsole.
Earlier this year, the classic Air Jordan 11 Low IE sporting the timeless black leather with its red accents were rumored to make its comeback this fall. And it is actually confirmed. The official Jordan release date of the new Air Jordan 11 Retro Low IE “Black/True Red” is set for September 26 for a price of $170.
This “Bred” version of the AJ11 Low IE was preceded with the White/Grey version so you can expect this new release to sport the same full-grain leather mudguards with an Elephant print texture instead of the patent leather piece which is a definite signature of AJ11s and a trademark of the IE editions as well.
As promised, the newest IE Low AJ11 is completely dressed in Black with the Touch of True Red on the insole. On a closer inspection, the Air Jordan 11 Retro Low IE Black/True Red also sports two other color schemes – a white midsole and a semi-translucent outsole in dark grey color which is a traditional feature of AJ11 IE Lows with its bottom.
Compared to the 1996 version of the shoes, some notable highlights and addition to the Black/True Red Air Jordan 11 Retro Low IE is the Elephant print detailing found on the shoes’ upper overlay. Aside from that, the shoes also sports a mesh paneling all throughout its leather upper while the True Red color can be seen on the vibrant Jumpman logo found on the tongue and the shoes inner lining which well extends to the insole giving the shoes its final touch.
Since September is still months away, Jordan heads should stay tuned for more information as more photos of the said shoes would be released. Right now, the Bred version of the Air Jordan 11 Retro Low IE Black/True Red can be seen as one Jordan Brand’s best shoe releases this year.
