The Air Jordan 7 Retro silhouette is a favorite for many – especially since this model tends to come under the most amazing colorways. Providing a combination of classic and colors, the Air Jordan 7 Retro has several favorites under its belt. For this article however, we’ll talk about the “Hare” model released just this year. In fact, the Jordan release date for these kicks was on May 16, 2015.
Air Jordan 7 Retro “Hare 7s”
Color:White/Light Silver-True Red
Release Date: May 16th, 2015
First things first – you probably know who Bugs Bunny is and exactly how this favorite cartoon character teamed up with everyone’s favorite basketball player. Well, the Air Jordan 7 Retro “Hare” is the shoe that defines that relationship with a design to match.
The Air Jordan 7 Retro is essentially a full-on white shoe with some colors thrown in to make it more stand out. We really mean stand out because unlike your typical Jordan, the colors may occupy a small space of the shoes but it makes use of a total of five colors. That would be: orange-yellow, black, green, red, and violet.
Most of the colors are concentrated on the tongue which displays a vertical zigzag pattern of black, orange-yellow, green, and red. The violet is used for the number “23” emblem placed on the back portion of the shoe, centered in an upside down triangle of black and red.
The part of the tongue that’s sticking out is essentially the only part with the party of colors. The bottom portion where the laces intersect is done in solid red which actually helps the solid white laces stand out from the tongue. The interior of the shoe is also done in solid red and looks remarkably comfortable.
The outsole is red, but not all the way. As for the Jumpman logo, it’s placed along the sides – where the ankles are typically resting. Stitched in red and angled diagonally, it manages to give the shoes a more sophisticated feel as the placement of the logo is different from the typical Air Jordan shoe.
The overall trim isn’t just plain white though as most people will think. There are layers placed on the shoe, creating a pattern and a depth that is its very own design. If we’re going to describe it, the Air Jordan 7 Retro “Hare” is a classic.
We admit though, based on the images shown in Sneaker News, it’s a little hard to see how the shoes refer to everyone’s favorite hare – Bugs Bunny. While Bugs is mainly a grey-and-white combination, this one is all about fiery red and white. Still, who are we to argue? Check out this model in stores now!
