Before the time of the Nike retros, the Nike Air Force 1 already made its debut to the sneaker market. However, Nike didn’t make a comeback for their sneakers right after their debut. Instead, they made their sneakers with tweaks here and there to make for better versions.
Now more than 30 years later, Nike will be honoring back their Air Force 1 line with the new retro versions as seen on Sneaker News. We will be eyeing the Nike Air Force 1 High Retro QS Dark Powder Blue/Summit White with its clean look and remastered features.
So what is new with the retro version of the Nike Air Force 1 High QS? Aside from being named as the “Color of the Month”, the Dark Powder Blue/Summit White colorway of this Air Force 1 is not actually a new look but rather a better and a cleaner version of the old one.
On a closer inspection, the remastered Air Force 1 High Retro QS of Nike sports many features reminiscent of its original silhouette that became very much popular in the 80s when it made its debut. The upper of the shoes was made up of white high quality leather. The shoes were highlighted with royal blue accents all throughout which is a stark contrast against its white leather upper make.
With its minimalistic design, the shoes looks very clean and sophisticated yet still maintains its chic look with the perforations on the toe box for easier and better breathability. Against the white leather, the royal blue Velcro lace strap, outsole, insole, and Swoosh detail is very obvious. Other notable features of the shoes too are the AIR detailing on the midsole, the blue tongue tag bearing the name of the Nike Air Force 1, and the attached heel tab with the Nike Air name. The shoes is also made even more comfortable with its full length cushioning while the rubber outsole is sure to help you stick to the ground with its geometric designs.
The official Jordan release date of the shoes is set this December. Given that and the succession of remastered Nike Air Force 1s that is sure to hit the market, Jordan heads and fans would really have plenty to look forward to.
