Sneaker News just released exciting information with regards to the continuing line of Russell Westbrook shoes. If you’re a fan, then you know that the last shoes released under this player are the Hornets which were made exclusive to China. This December 1 however, the Air Jordan XX9 is available for EVERYONE – which means that if you want these kicks, all you have to do is check out any Jordan Brand store.
Air Jordan XX9 RW
Color:White/Metallic Silver-Wolf Grey-Infrared 23
Style Code: 827175-160
Release Date:December 1,2015
Anyway, the Jordan XX9 is a captivating piece of work – simple yet classy, managing to grab the attention without being too loud about it. The shoes are primarily done on a shade of metallic silver with the infrared shade thrown in. The infrared however is only used to make the logos and icons stand out from the shoes.
Obviously, we’ve got the Russell Westbrook PE logo on the front, smack dab on the center of the tongue. The iconic Jump Man is also printed along the sides, slightly larger than usual – no doubt to make the overall look stand out.
The soles are a translucent white with a translucent black edging of the outsole. As for markings or lines to create depths and edges – the Air Jordan XX9 has none of those. It’s just a sweet, clean line of silver which is already a pattern all on its own. Really, we think Nike played it perfectly for this colorway, choosing to keep things simple without losing the style characteristic of the brand.
As for the laces, they’re done in basic white with a slightly silver shade that allows for easy blending with the overall tenor of the shoes. The bottom portion is also covered in translucent rubber with hardly any pattern. There’s a very small infrared design along the tip portion but not easily seen unless you flip the shoes over.
All in all, it’s a pretty sweet package although there’s no price tag attached to it yet. By the way, did we mention that these shoes have already been spotted on court? That’s right – not only stylish, they’re also 100% durable enough to be used while playing ball. We also heard that the Air Jordan XX9 could pave the way for an Air Jordan 11 under Westbrook as well.
The Jordan release date was set for December 1 so we’re assuming that they’re already on the shelves. If not however, you can always order them online and have the shoes delivered directly to your home. It doesn’t matter how you get these kicks – as long as you add them to your collection now.
