Now that the end of January is coming, Jordan heads and fans might have more to look forward to than just the upcoming all-star weekend.
Air Jordan 10 OVO
Release Date:January 12-14, 2016
Just last week, Sneaker News hinted that Jordan Brand might be releasing the Air Jordan 10 OVO. Just as well, the “might be” is no longer a possibility since it has been confirmed that the shoes will be one of the Jordan releases 2016 and will have its official Jordan release date come February 12-14, 2016 – which is exactly the All-Star Weekend set for this year. What’s more, the shoes will be making its drop from Drake’s hometown, Toronto, Canada.
Last year, in April, Air Jordan dropped exclusive white pairs of the OVO to just family and friends and a super-limited drop during the OVO pop-up in Los Angeles. It would seem that right now, the black pairs of the Air Jordan 10 OVO would be given the same treatment of exclusivity.
The new Jordan OVO might come with a black face but you might be thinking that it’s not too different with the summit white and metallic gold-white of the white OVO except for its color. That may be partly right but black is a color that never loses its sparkle.
So how does the black OVO Jordan looks like? The pair, of course, is dressed out entirely in black. The shoes’ upper is made from an all-Black stingray leather while the mudguard comes with scotch grain leather paneling that extends along the upper ridge of the outsole and along the tongue. There’s also the shiny metallic “black gold” accents which is a perfect counterpart for the metallic gold-white colorway of the previous white pair.
Of course, the signature OVO owl emblem of the famous Drake wouldn’t be missed adorning the insole. The Jumpman logo is also tastefully placed right there on the heel counter as well as the shoes’ outsoles. A ridged black outsole finished the look for the Air Jordan 10 OVO.
There’s also some bad news for collectors who might like to have this pair on their collection. It has been revealed that only four store location will carry the sneaker for retail; 34th Street in New York City, Miracle Mile in Nevada, and North Riverside Park Mall and Woodfield Mall that are both in Illinois.
So if you missed your chance of having yourself the white pair, waiting for the release of this black beauty might do well to appease you. Just make sure that you get to be on the right places where this sneaker will make their drop.
