It is tough not to stare at the new Neymar x Air Jordan 5 Low the minute you see someone walking around wearing these kicks. Made to catch the eye, Air Jordan steered clear of classic colors and instead went for something that is meant to keep the attention of anyone who wears it.
Neymar x Air Jordan 5 Low
Color:Reflective Silver/Infrared 23-Black
Release Date:June 3, 2016
Despite being unique, however, there is no question that the Neymar x Air Jordan 5 Low will look good no matter what kind of clothes you pair it with. Combining unusual colors to create an unusual look, the shoes make use of at least 5 different shades to complete the overall vibe.
To start off, there’s the upper of the shoes that’s done in grey with black speckles popularly called the Cement Print. It is a full 3M reflective design that goes well with infrared accents.
On the sides, you will find the numbers 10 and 23 – a dual nod to the player numbers of both Jordan and Neymar. Black accents add depth to the body of the shoes, further boosted by the blue highlights of the outsole. The Cement Print shows up again along the midsole in that dragonish pattern that turns the shoes into a street-smart wear.
The tongue is done in black with red accents along the lining. The laces are equally black so that it won’t distract from the Cement Print upper. On the very center of the tongue, we’ve got the Jumpman logo of done in bright red, allowing it to really pop out from the grey and black shade of the shoes.
The same Jumpman icon can be seen on the back of the shoes, exactly where the heels are supposed to rest. This one however is slightly smaller than the traditionally placed icon done in a solid black design. A transparent lace lock completes the overall look of the kicks.
All in all, it’s a pretty good colorway and a bit different from the other Air Jordan releases 2016. It is a good bet that the same design won’t be out again so anyone who wants a unique look this year should get them ASAP. The silhouette itself is distinctive added with the reflective aspect.
According to Sneaker news, the shoes are set for a June release date with a price tag of $175. If you want these kicks to be part of your collection, better put in your order now to make sure that you will be one of the first few with this new look.
