The Rio Olympics is all set to go in late August this year. To commemorate the event, Jordan Brand will be releasing a slew of kicks to make the occasion even more memorable. This summer, one of their Jordan release dates for 2016 include another retro AJ11 Low – the Air Jordan 11 Low “Olympic.”
Air Jordan 11 Low Olympic
Color:White/Metallic Gold Coin-Black
Release Date:Summer 2016
The newest “Olympic” AJ11 Low is Jordan Brand’s newest retro. Inspired by the upcoming Olympics, the new pair is more fab as well as more cool than the long-awaited “Midnight Navy” and “Varsity Red” of the same collection. JB decided to ditch the black patent leather mudguard and used the more stylish metallic gold colorway instead. The pair is also dominated in White with accents of Black in the lining, insole, and some of the branding. The Black herringbone pods also stand out against the translucent icy blue outsole.
A few days ago, Sneaker News hinted that Jordan Brand is just getting warmed up with their summer releases of the Air Jordan 11 Lows. After the first two colorways released last weekend, JB will once more get sneakerheads as well as fans waiting in less than a month or so for the Olympic to come out.
The unexpected Olympic AJ11 Low features a premium upper dressed in crisp White leather. Of course, you already know from earlier that the mudguards are dressed in a vivid metallic gold colorways as a nod to the sports event in Rio. What you should expect thought is that the pair would look a lot similar to a player exclusive release by Chris Paul.
On a much closer look, the Air Jordan 11 Low White and Gold sports golden Jumpman brandings on the insole, the tongue, and the heels. Another Jumpman dressed in White can be seen on the outsole together with the herringbone pattern and the translucent blue outsole.
As a summer release, sneaker news have it that Jordan Brand will release the pair later in July – just in time if you want to go wearing the pair to the Rio Olympics in August. You will be glad to know as well that it goes with a very good price tag of $170.
The release of the Olympic Air Jordan 11 Low will also be available in both men and GS sizes. As a “hot” pair on the shelves, do not wait until the last minute to get your hands on this pair. Check out for more info and stay tuned to get an update on more Jordan release dates 2016.
